Key Responsibilities: 

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised assistance and support to students with SEN and other learning difficulties. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Collaborating with classroom teachers and the SEN Coordinator to identify students' individual needs and develop tailored support plans. 

• Providing one-on-one assistance to students with SEN, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to access the curriculum effectively. 

• Facilitating small group interventions to reinforce learning concepts and foster peer interaction. 

• Assisting students with organisation, time management, and study skills to promote independent learning. 

• Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in students. 

• Regularly monitoring and tracking students' progress, offering constructive feedback to teachers and parents. 

• Maintaining accurate records of interventions and progress, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines. 

Requirements: 

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria: 

• Hold a relevant degree or certification in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field. 

• Possess a deep understanding of various learning difficulties and SEN, with experience in supporting students with diverse needs. 

• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to working with students. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals. 

• Familiarity with the American curriculum and its principles of inclusive education.
